I love Dash Wallets :). I’ve only had 2 other wallets from Dash Wallets. First one was the first wallet Dash made, the 1.0. I had it from when it came out till early last year (2018). Very durable wallet, next one was the 5.0 (Black Herringbone), but I lost it the same week I got :(. I was walletless till a couple weeks ago when I chose to buy the Bando wallet which is great! I stayed walletless for such a long time because I was waiting for the 5.0 (Black Herringbone) to be back in stock, but it seems like it’s not going to be back in stock since it’s been months and its still out of stock, which sucks :(. But I’ll keep coming back to check if it becomes available because that’s the wallet I really really want. The Bando wallet is great, just not the wallet I really wanted, but it will do until the 5.0 (Black Herringbone) becomes available :).
I have had my wallet for a couple of weeks now, and it is almost perfect.
The only thing, which could be better is the size of the "not-so-secret" slot on the back. For one the slot is not really secret, as the inside of it is visible from the outside and has a pretty clear red color. Second, the slot is to small to hide a normal card. Basically it is only useful to store stuff which is smaller than a credit card.
As you can see on my photo, i use it to store the building access card for my company and it sticks out.
Besides this minor inconvenience, the wallet is perfect!
I've been supporting Elliot in his crowd founding campaigns since the beginning and i've bought almost all of them.
I have to say that the build and materials quality have made huge leaps since the stretchy elastic first Dash, but unfortunately so has the size..
I miss the compactness of the Dash 2.0 (still my favourite) but with time i started to appreciate the Dash 5.0 as well for its durability.
I finally received my Bando today and when i took it in my palm i was disappointed by the huge size of the thing.
Mind, it's just 1cm from the 5.0, but it's almost as double as my dear Dash 2.0.
Once i transfered all my cards form the 5.0 the result was bulky as hell, and with limited cards space on the sides you are forced to put most in the middle, resulting in the external ones bend a little. In the end i had to remove 4 cards (mostly memberships and ones i rarely use) to keep the same feel as i was used to. I also miss the quick draw slot.
Anyway, the build quality is incredible and I'm sure it will be a matter of time until i get used to it, and more card will fit when it'll "loose up" a bit.
Still i would have loved it a bit smaller.
Just received my Dash wallet, and I'm delighted. I've tried other "minimalist" wallets and returned them, but this wallet works for me. As pictured, its holding eight cards, my driver's license, and more cash than usual (nine bills). All is held securely but is easy to access. I'm pleased with the quality of construction, the feel and look of the material, and it fits comfortably in my front pocket.
